In Loving Memory of Anita Nance

Faithful Servant, Loving Mother, Cherished Nana

It is with profound sorrow and deep love that we announce the passing of Anita Nance, who departed this life with grace and peace. Anita was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend—a woman whose presence radiated warmth, whose faith was unwavering, and whose heart was always open.

Anita's life was one of quiet strength and steadfast purpose. She lived each day as a testament to her love for God, a faith that carried her through both the joyful and trying moments of life. A natural nurturer, she found solace and joy in tending to her garden, where every bloom seemed to reflect her gentle spirit and patient soul. To those who knew her, Anita embodied grace and compassion—a woman who gave more than she took and served more than she asked.

For 39 years, Anita dedicated herself to public service as a social worker, with a particular devotion to the aging population. Her work was not just a job—it was a calling. She served with humility, dignity, and a fierce commitment to those most in need. She was a quiet hero to many, a voice for the voiceless, and a steady presence in the lives of countless individuals and families.

Anita was the proud mother of Morgan Robinson and the adoring nana of Jordan Robinson-Hale. Her love for them was immeasurable—steadfast, tender, and unconditional. She instilled in them strength, faith, and the importance of loving others deeply. She was also a beloved sister to Sonya Nance and Stafford Nance, and her bond with her siblings was rich with laughter, stories, and enduring love. She was a cherished companion to her partner Lewis Nixon.

She now joins in eternal rest her parents, Jewel and Connie Nance, her sister Marcia Nance, and her brother Ralph Liggins, whose memories she cherished always.

Anita's absence leaves an ache that words cannot fill, but her legacy is etched in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be remembered for her quiet wisdom, her faith that never wavered, her garden that bloomed with care, and her life that touched so many with kindness and grace.

We will carry her light forward, always.
