It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alvina J. Booker, a beloved mother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her kind and caring spirit. Left this world at the age of 81 on April 28, 2024, in her hometown of Wichita, Kansas, where she was born on October 10, 1942, to her loving parents Alvin W. Martin and Joyce M. Williams-Martin.
Alvina was a devoted mother to her daughter Toni Jones and a cherished sister to her brother Ronald Martin and sister Marcia Bush. Grandson Alvin Crabtree & 3 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms into the afterlife. Alvina's memory will be forever cherished by her surviving family members and friends.
Throughout her life, Alvina was known for her dedication to her family and her unwavering strength in the face of challenges. She was passionate about her community and strived to make a positive impact wherever she went. Alvina's warm smile and caring nature touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Alvina will be remembered for her passion for cooking delicious meals for her loved ones, and her unwavering faith in God. Her dedication to her family and friends knew no bounds, and her selflessness was a shining example to all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life service in honor of Alvina will be held on May 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Mark Church of God in Christ, located at 1018 Dellrose, Wichita, Kansas 67208. All who knew and loved Alvina are invited to attend this service to pay their respects and celebrate her life.
As we mourn the loss of Alvina, let us also celebrate the legacy of love and kindness that she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Rest in peace, dear Alvina. Your light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forever.
